On 21st May 2011, other/other/other and members of the public ran through Norwich streets for a distance of 4km. The speed was dependent on the air quality on each street: if it was bad we ran faster. We were commissioned as part of Alice Sharp’s ‘Invisible Dust’ project, and the event took place on the last day of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival 2011. We installed banners around the streets two weeks in advance, collecting the particulates from traffic exhaust (amongst other things) in a layer of stencilled Vaseline. These signs got grubbier in the areas with the worst air pollution. For more details, please visit http://agoodcleanrun.wordpress.com
